19?!! HOLY COW

I can't believe it but this little girl will turn 19 in about 40 minutes from when I am typing this. It is amazing. I was telling Tara that I can't believe she will be 19 and she said that she didn't think 19 was that big of a deal. I told her it's not really unless it's your kid. Because of course neither Clint nor I are not old enough to be the parents of a 19 year old.

I am so proud of you Tara. You're a beautiful, talented, & smart girl. Your brother and sister love you very much. So do your dad and I. Hope you have a Happy Birthday, we love you much!

November Birthdays

It was my mom's birthday on Nov 4 & it is Tara's birthday tomorrow, so we celebrated them together at the Dearden's a couple of weeks ago. Luckily Tara was home for the weekend and she could join us for her birthday celebration. Grandma Dearden always cooks whatever the birthday person wants, even if it is Prime Rib, or some other dish that she isn't used to making. It's usually my oldest boy (and I don't mean Cole that asks for something out of the norm). She is great about catering to the birthday kid or adult. We did take over the dinner this time so she didn't have to make her own birthday dinner, but she still made a couple of side dishes. I don't think she can help herself.
Jami & Annie set up the chairs for the birthday girls so we could all watch them open their presents.Jami presenting her sister Tara. Grandma makes a bear for all of the grandkids on their birthday. Duane, Allison and Avery watching the gift opening. I guess Avery is watching a little movie on a toy from the 70's, that she found in Grandma's basement. Lance, Lori & Kelsey. Look at those rosy cheeks, Kelsey must have been running around with the kids just before this picture.

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Dearden for having the fun birthday get togethers! It's always something we look forward to even if it isn't our birthday. We love you lots!

Shoot-Out

At school they had a basketball shoot-out and Jami was so excited that she was old enough to sign up, the minimum age was 8 and she had just turned 8 so she definitely wanted to do it.The thing is, you have to practice if you think you are going to make any of the shots. Jami didn't make any shots but I sure was proud of her for trying. She said that next year she will be stronger and taller so she will try again.Riding home on dad's shoulders after the shoot-out. I love my little basketball player.

Finally, the Halloween post!

Alright, my goal was to get Halloween posted before Thanksgiving. I've made it just in the nick of time.
This is Jami watching the Halloween parade at school, the day before Halloween. Notice the costume here.. she's a Korean Girl.Monica and I are just plain ol Sick & Tired. What an easy costume this was.Halloween night, now take notice of Jami's costume, she has changed into a shaggy dog. Cole is the good old Mountain Dew.Here are the kids at Hogwarts with Dumbledore. If you look back a couple of posts, to Jami's b-day, you will see someone vaguely familiar to Dumbledore, making bunny ears. Could it really be one in the same?Jami having her palm read by Madame Trelawny at Hogwarts, it was really a lot of fun.Now it's Cole's turn to have his palm read. I hope she sees straight A's and a kid that always does what his parents ask, when his parents ask.

Cole, Matt, Zandra, & ? I can't tell who the shaggy dog is.
There were more pictures from Halloween but, since it's long gone, I thought I should just put a few. We really did have a lot of fun and we can't wait till next Halloween.

St George Thriller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the thought as I was getting the pictures for this blog, that blogs are probably supposed to be about journaling and maybe not so much photos but photos are my journaling since I'm not much of a writer. I like a little explanation with a lot of pictures.

For the longest time I have wanted to see the Thriller show put on by the Odyssey Dance Theatre. Finally, I had an excellent excuse to go. My niece Abbey was one of the dancers this year. Even better, she was performing in St. George. So, an excuse to go and see Tara! We stayed with Kendra at her in-laws vacation home and had a great time! Cole, Jami & I left Ogden Sunday afternoon and stayed until Tuesday morning. We attended the Monday night show. Abbey was one of the "Chucky" doll dancers. It was awesome. Oh by the way this all happened back in October but I'm just now getting to posting about it.

Just to get you back in the Halloween mood for a minute. Skull on the side of the mountain at Tuacahn.

Abbey & Buster sitting around (on the fireplace) just as her dad told her to get off, I said "Wait I need a photo."

Cole and McCall getting in a little DS action.

Cole & Jami wating for our food at The Pizza Factory. Now it's Jami's turn for some DS.

Tara, Kylee & Abbey waiting and waiting, and let me tell you we waited for our pasta.

Mark, Kendra & McCall still waiting.......................

Kendra & The Moss Family, their daughter was a "Chucky" doll also. Notice they do have food now.

Here we are at Tuacahn ready for the show. I did not need all the blankets etc. that I have packed under my arm. The weather was perfect.

Jami showing off her balancing skills.

Just a reminder of why we are there.

Jami after the show with her new best friend. We waited to get a photo with the "Chucky" dolls but they never came out to mingle with the fans.
I know it's dark but if you look hard maybe you will see the Combe children in the front with skullhead in the back.

We had a great time. Thanks Dunfords for putting us up, my kids didn't want to come home.
Hopefully I'll be able to post Halloween before Thanksgiving.

Frightmares

The Thursday before Jami's birthday we invited some friends and family for some fun at Frightmares! Left to right Hailey , Hailey's friend, me myself and Cheryl, Kellen , Rory , Karly , Zandra , Jami , Clint, Jadryn, Cole, and Taylor. Not in picture Bryan, Will, and Melanie. The wild boys on the Wildmouse The boys once again, this time on the Cliffhanger.

Don't they look thrilled?

The girl friends trying out a costume at Lagoon.

Nice hair Cole-en!

Zanny & Will going for a drive.

The birthday girl. Lovely sticker on the forehead.

Carly and Jadie "just swingin".

Trick or Treat. This was the scariest haunted house we went through. Even though some of the girls dared to brave the Sky Coaster they didn't want to tour the haunted houses. We did go on Dracula's Castle and the Terror Ride.

Get ready for blast off!!!

Hold on tight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're off......................

.............................just to wait in another line..................................

The Paratroopers

Poor Jadie getting squished into the side, and Zanny smashed in the middle

Now for the insanity! As soon as we suggested Lagoon for Jami's party she knew right off what she wanted to do. It was a must to bring the camera, Dad, Cole and extra money for the Sky Coaster. You see, the last time we were at Lagoon Jami wanted to go on the Sky Coaster and those missing items were the reason her mother gave her for not going on that particular ride. Actually her mother was too scared to let her do it. Yes, her mother has been on this ride and will probably never go on it again. So here they are suiting up for the flight.Just hanging around, waiting for the lift up.

And now hanging around waiting to be unleashed. Unfortunately, the mother was too excited/nervous/shaking to get any good pictures while the kidlets were in flight. Dad did get them on video though.

The next group getting ready to go.

There are many, many more photos of our fun filled day, we stayed from morning till night and had a blast. It was awesome. Thanks to all that could go and Happy Birthday till next year Jami. We love you. There was one more birthday celebration at the Combe grandparents household but I can't recall right now if there were any photos taken. I'll check on that and get back to you.

As you can tell I'm a little behind with the posts and photos, I have a lot of photos to get on here and not a lot of time to do it. Slowly but surely I will "get 'er done".
