Possibly the Last Game of the Season

Well can you tell by looking at the team as they walk off the field what the result of the game was? Jets 0 Washington Terrace 19. Not a happy group of boys. But we found out at the team bar-b-que Monday night if Clinton looses to Sky View on Saturday then we will be playing a tie breaker game Wednesday afternoon. Just a glimmer of hope since Clint says Clinton is favored to win. Stay tuned!

Cole had a lot of family at the game to cheer him on. Craig & Shannon & their boys came all the way from Draper, Uncle Danny, & Granny & Bampa Combe were there from the Combe side. After the game we all went to Granny's house and had Brunch. It was yummy. We are lucky to have such a supportive family! We love you all!
Grandpa & Grandma Dearden came from Bountiful and Grandpa & Grandma Firth were there too! (we didn't get a photo of the Firth's) My kids are so lucky to have so many grandparents. They are awesome!
Hopefully we will have more football news Saturday. Oh, we are going to play a couple of tournaments so I guess it's not the end of football yet.

COMBE WEEKENDS

This is a collection of what the Crazy Combes do on weekends and during the week also. Jami is #5 on the Blue Lakers team using her leg to hold back the opponent.

Above: 'Scuse me, pardon me, look out Jami coming through.
To the left: Tara, Cole & Mom discussing the Jets 14- 13 win over Morgan. Tomorrow is the big game against Washington Terrace. It is a must win situation in order for the Jets to move on to the playoffs!!!!!! The Jets record so far is 4 wins 1 loss. Keep your fingers crossed.

Jami decided to sell lemonade after the football game. She set up and ran the stand all on her own. She made $12 in about 4 hours. She stuck it out all day even though she was threatened several times by bees. She had a pom pom that she would swat them away with. (Brother Cole did help her make several pitchers of lemonade.)

Here is the pregame team planning session. Next is the team captains deciding who gets the ball first.

A couple last photos of Jami #5 in action on the soccer field. Her nickname is "Crazy Legs Combe" and it fits. Her legs get going so fast she can't keep up. So there are several times that she ends up on the ground but she gets right back up and keeps on going!

School/Football '08

So I hope that I learn as I go on this blog, because I have the pictures out of order and I don't know how to rearrange them. Anyway, this is Cole & Jami at Landon's grandparents farm. We are on our way home from Cole's football game that was in Coalville.
Here we have Waffles & Cheryl at the gravesite of Cheryl's great-grandfather & great-grandmother. We are at the cemetary in Henefer.
Now we are at the gravesite of Cole & Jami's great-grandfather & great-grandmother (Ruby & David Dearden). Also at the Henefer cemetary.
This is the home that Ruby & David built & raised their family in. As you can see the current owner does not live here & have not kept the home up. This is quite sad for our family to see. Landon at his grandparents farm, visting with the piggies. See what I mean about the pictures not being in order.
Jami Lee checking out the chickens.

Proud Landon with his new football jersey!
Number 27 "Weeks" best Waterboy in the league! We love you Landon!
Landon on the job.

Teammates & best friends. The Jets played the North Summit Braves, Grandpa Dearden's almamater. Cole was excited to call Grandpa after the game to report the score of the game......Jets 7 Braves 0!!!!!

The new "Sevie" (seventh grader). Isn't he handsome?!!!! Cole is ready to rock in Jr. High and looking forward to a great year. He is one super student & we are proud of him!
Second grader of the year goes to ............Jami. Check out the backpack on wheels, we are very excited about this backpack. It was a must have!
Closer look at the second grader for the year 2008.
Here she is hard at work. Didn't even notice the photographer. I hope her attention span stays at the front of the room for the rest of the year. She is an awesome student!

College Roadtrip continued

OK so I messed up and didn't get all of the photos on my first posting of our college roadtrip.

The Combe kids lounging on the nice, lovely sofas.

Jami trying out her tumbling skills in the long long hallway.
The bath/beauty area of Tara's apartment.

College Roadtrip

Last weekend Cole, Jami & Mom took a college roadtrip. We were delivering the remains of Tara's belongings that wouldn't fit into her car. Tara left for Dixie on Friday. We left Saturday afternoon, after Cole's heartbreaking loss in football. We were packed into the car pretty tight but we fit everything in.

After a quick apartment change, due to bathroom towels that didn't match, Tara got settled in and we took a couple of photos to remember our college roadtrip by.
